                Frequently Asked Survival Questions

A few useful distinctions before you start.

Dead Party supports up to four players in cooperative matches, offering solo play, local split-screen on a shared display, and online lobbies. Squads can also mix local split-screen players with remote teammates in the same session.

The core gameplay loop centers on smashing furniture to gather scrap wood, nailing barricades over entryways, and setting defensive traps while completing mode-specific tasks. Survivors use melee kicks, scavenged weapons, and electric guitar riffs to control attacking zombie waves.

Guitar riffs are character-specific abilities charged by collecting musical notes dropped by defeated zombies. Strumming the instrument forces nearby enemies into a dancing stun state while triggering distinct effects like area healing, freezing, burning, or floor pinning.

Story mode restricts online play to private lobbies where hosts invite friends directly or play via local split-screen. Public matchmaking and the open lobby browser are available exclusively in arcade mode.
